American Martial Arts Academy hosted a fundraiser for an after school program in Pottstown. Above all, they earned $550, for the French Creek Elementary School’s PTA. Sensei Paul presented the $550 check to the PTA after the kid’s graduation ceremony this past weekend.
The after school program in pottstown is a 4 Week Character Education course where 23 children joined in on classes filled with laughter, camaraderie, and martial arts. Each week they worked on fun and exciting Martial Arts skills, in addition to Focus, Confidence, and Goal Setting. These classes were held each week at the French Creek Elementary School in Pottstown, PA and included our amazing graduation ceremony.
Goal setting is one of the aspects that helps make our karate students so successful in all aspects of life. The goal of the Four Week Karate Program is to prepare the students for graduation. At the graduation, the children had an opportunity to perform what they have learned for their family and friends, giving them a positive environment to showcase their knowledge. The students also received a Certificate of Participation and a White Belt for completing the course.
